VisitEngland invests £40 million to restore its tourism attractions that England has to offer, helping the tourism industry innovate and continue to grow.
Here the tourism businesses are being invited to see how their business could benefit from a new campaign to market the Yorkshire Dales overseas.
It is to attract the international travellers from Germany and Australia, VisitEngland is developing and revamping its national parks with new easily-bookable facilities.
There are two free workshops on The English National Park Experience Collection are being held at the Devonshire Arms Hotel, Bolton Abbey Estate, on Thursday, April 26 at 10am and at the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority offices in Bainbridge on Thursday, May 3 at 1.15pm.
The events organized by VisitEngland are open to people who offer accommodation, attractions, experiences or activities in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, as well as to those who want to collaborate to showcase the park’s landscape, history and culture to visitors from overseas.
There are each session which will cover the context to the programme, provide some examples of the experiences being developed and the actions required to reach a global audience.
Susan Briggs, of the Tourism Network, will lead the events. She said that this is a great opportunity for local businesses in and around the park. Together, they can develop world-class bookable tourism products, targeted at the right international customers and through the right channels.
